Last Minute Cookie Designs (WFMW)

Christmas is just a few short days away… Can you believe it?

While I find it amusing to spend hours upon end decorating cookies, I know that not everyone shares my love of piping bags and royal icing. I’m OK with that. If you can’t be bothered with worrying about outlining and flooding cookies or mixing up a rainbow of icing colors, then this post is for you!

Freezing Cookie Dough (WFMW) and a Giveaway!

Since the holiday baking season is officially in full swing, I thought I’d share a holiday baking tip with you this Wednesday!

With Christmas over a week away, it’s still a bit early for me to start doing all of my holiday cookie baking. I don’t want my cookies to taste stales when my friends and family bite into them. But, I also want to get a head start on my baking. I bake a lot of cookies for Christmas, so I don’t have time to do everything in the last few days.

Cookie Cutter Gift Tags (WFMW)

Today’s Works for Me Wednesday theme is to share a holiday tip or gift idea… I had so many ideas that it was hard to choose just one. I don’t always remember to participate in the themed editions at the beginning of each month, but I couldn’t miss out on sharing a holiday tip!

I love making homemade gifts, decorating, and putting together gift baskets. I just love it! So, as you might imagine, I had quite a few ideas for this post… After much thought and consideration, I decided to share my chocolate filled cookie cutter gift tags. They are easy to make and a really fun way to jazz up a holiday gift.

Balsamic Roasted Vegetables (WFMW)

Sometimes I get so caught up in worrying about the main dish that I’m making for dinner that I tend to neglect the sides. Can you relate?

With Thanksgiving around the corner, you’ve probably already thought about the perfect recipe for a roast turkey and may have already settled on the perfect stuffing, too. But, if you’re much like me, you may have neglected to worry about what vegetables to make. Unfortunately, they don’t prepare and cook themselves.

So, this week, I thought I’d share my super simple recipe (if you can really call it a recipe) for Balsamic roasted vegetables. It’s my go to recipe for vegetables in the fall and winter (and once in a while the spring and summer, too!)… It’s easy to throw together and can just hang out in the oven while your other dishes are cooking/baking. Plus, it’s a favorite with my family and friends. In fact, my husband actually gets excited when he sees me prepping roasted vegetables. Who would have thought?
