All week, I’ve been talking about recipes that would be great for Mother’s Day. After all, there should be at least one day a year that moms don’t have to worry about making dinner (or lunch or breakfast!). So, with that in mind, here are a few more recipes that I think your mother will enjoy. They might not be the most traditional fare for the Mother’s Day, but I think they’ll be a hit!
- Want to make something for your mom but don’t have a lot of experience in the kitchen? No problem! Check out this refreshing Pineapple Salsa from Savory Sweet Life. Just add chips!
- Perhaps you’d rather bake a cake for Mother’s Day… Then, look no further than this Tipsy Tequila-Milk Cake from Hungry Rabbit. It’s a twist on a traditional tres leches cake… Except it’s spiked with tequila. What’s not to love?
- If you’re planning a brunch for Mother’s Day, you won’t want to miss these Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce from Nutmeg Nanny. Lemon, ricotta, and blueberry are brilliant together, and I just know these pancakes will be absolutely amazing.
- If you’re mom’s more of a fan of casual get togethers, why not keep things simple with some homemade pizza for Mother’s Day? Of course, you can’t make just any pizza. Check out this Tarte Flambée from eat. live. travel. write. I can’t get it out of my head.
That pineapple salsa does sound perfect for a Mother’s Day starter, doesn’t it? I think my Mama will definitely approve! :)
I definitely need to make that Pineapple Salsa – it sounds incredible!
Never mind mother’s day – how about any day!!!? Great list and thanks for including me.
