Valentine’s Day is just around the corner… I’ve never been a big fan of the holiday, but it is a good excuse to make some fun food. So, for this week’s Friday Favorites, I thought I’d highlight a few of the Valentine’s Day-friendly desserts that caught my eye this week. Of course, they’re great for any time, but I think they’ll be a big hit with someone special, too!
- It’s no secret that I love Nutella. So, when I saw these Macarons Craquelés Noisette-Chocolat from eat. live. travel. write., I put them on my must-make list right away. They are crunchy and chewy and loaded with Nutella flavor.
- If you want to make a special dessert for Valentine’s Day, be sure to go take a look at this White Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake with Salted Caramel and Chocolate Topping from Creative Culinary. It looks perfectly decadent, and it’s sure to be a hit.
- I’m almost afraid to mention this next one because I know my hubby will read this. As soon as he sees this Red Velvet Cheesecake from Brown Eyed Baker, I know he is going to demand that I make it… Over and over again!
- I can eat ice cream all year long… One year we had a blizzard on Valentine’s Day and I went out in the snow to purchase an ice cream cake. It’s true. So, I’m thinking of making this Brown Butter Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream from Tracey’s Culinary Adventures to celebrate this year. I think it would go very well with a warm chocolate chip cookie!
That ice cream from Tracey has had a dog ear for awhile. Must make soon.
Jen – You are always so generous and I always appreciate it when you include one of my dishes in your Friday Favorites. Thanks a bunch!
Haha, love that you braved a blizzard for ice cream cake. That’s so me :) Thanks for sharing my ice cream!
Thanks so much for including my macarons craquelés :) I know you and Darron will love them! And LOL at your icecream addiction!
