This month was one of my favorite challenges since I started Kitchen Bootcamp last April (can you believe it’s been over a year now?)… We all know that I am a big fan of desserts (especially ice cream), so I had great hopes for this challenge.
While I didn’t have nearly as much time as I would have liked to try new recipes (due to having surgery), I did have a chance to whip up a few things… And, I am still feeling inspired to try a few more! So, you can keep your eyes peeled for some more custards, creams, and mousses over the next few weeks!
I did manage to create two new recipes for the challenge… I shared my Chocolate Bread Pudding inspired by the Hotel Hershey and I created a newice cream recipe for my hubby – Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream!
Here are the other great posts submitted for this month’s challenge… I am quite impressed!
My good friend Mardi from eat. live. travel. write. went all out with this month’s challenge. She tackled many of the things I had hoped to try including Crème Caramel and Mexican Flan! I’m also especially smitten with her lovely Cherry Clafoutis… And, I even have some cherries in the fridge just waiting to be put to good use! Be sure to read all about her Kitchen Bootcamp adventures with custards!
Rice pudding was also on my list of must-makes for this challenge… Of course, I never thought to add Nutella to mine! I think it’s a brilliant move, and I can’t wait to try this Nutella Rice Pudding from Cooking with Books!
Thanks to everyone who participated in this month’s (extended) challenge! I will be announcing the next challenge later this week, and I plan to do another extended challenge that runs through the month of July… Stay tuned!
I’ll have one of everything please! Everyone did such a good job, thanks for the round-up!
Yum! Everything looks great! Is this your challenge or one you just participated in?

Hi, Alan!
Thanks for stopping by! The Kitchen Bootcamp challenge is one that I dreamed up about a year ago to challenge myself to try new things in the kitchen. You can get all of the details on the Kitchen Bootcamp page (in the top menu here on the site). Would love to have you join us!
Thanks to your Kitchen Bootcamp info! Will check it out. What kind of surgery you had? Hope you’re well now. Have a nice day.
Blessings, Kristy
THANK YOU Jen for hosting Kitchen Bootcamp. One of my favourite challenges :)
Now that I get your rss feed, I might have to try a ‘challenge’ with you Jen. My first challenge is to get the book. :)
That red velvet cake ice cream has me totally drooling. I can’t believe I still haven’t busted out my ice cream maker yet!
All of them look so good
