Ready for the weekend? I know that I am… This week has been a busy one and I’m looking forward to some time to relax. Perhaps I’ll even have time to try a few of these great recipes…
- I love this Turkey and Bean Chili from How To: Simplify… It is the perfect dish for the cooler weather that is on the way. I will probably top mine with a few slices of avocado!
- I think this Creamy Cauliflower Soup with Bacon and Gorgonzola from Steamy Kitchen is just brilliant. Last year I had no idea what to do with all of the cauliflower from our CSA, so I will be saving this recipe! Plus, I have been on a gorgonzola kick lately… You can’t go wrong with crumbled gorgonzola!
- When it comes to baking, pound cake is one of my favorites. I have my grandmother’s recipe that always turns out beautifully, and also lends itself well to a bit of creativity. Next time I make pound cake, though, I’m going to be trying this Cinnamon Cream Cheese Pound Cake from Evil Shenanigans. It looks moist and wonderful… and perfect for fall!
- If you’re looking for a yummy after school snack for your kids, check out these Peanut Butter, Banana, and Honey Cookies from Two Peas and Their Pod… In fact, I think I might have to make a batch for me, even though I don’t go to school!
- I love caramel… Especially in the fall! So, I will definitely be making these Caramel Apple Muffins from Sugarcrafter. I think they may quickly become my favorite muffin!
I hope you do try the muffins! My friends and I have started calling them “crack muffins” because we just can’t stop eating them. ;-) Have a great weekend!
I am flattered you like my cookies. Thanks for the shout out. Have a great weekend Jen!
Awesome round up :)
Great Friday Favorites!
Thanks for including my Turkey and Black Bean Chili in your roundup!
