The first ten weeks of 2010 have come and gone. Can you believe it? It’s incredible how time flies, isn’t it?
In some ways, I’m glad that the Ten in 10 challenge is coming to an end… I would love to say that I lost 20 pounds and have changed all of my bad habits, but that’s not the case. It’s not that I haven’t learned anything or made any positive changes, because I have. It’s just that there were times where writing weekly updates for the challenge made me dwell on everything I was doing wrong.
So, for my final Ten in 10 post, I thought I’d keep it pretty brief and focus on a few of the good changes I have made this year:
- I’ve incorporated a lot more whole grains into my diet.
- I have brought my workouts up a notch and have stuck to a regular exercise schedule. I’m not ready to run a marathon, but I have noticed that my strength and endurance are both improving.
- My husband and I have been eating more meatless meals each week.
- My general outlook has improved… and I’m realizing that there’s more to live than worrying about my diet and exercise all day long.
Even though the Ten in 10 challenge is ending, and I won’t be posting any more weekly updates, this isn’t the end of the story… Eating well, exercising, and trying to keep a positive outlook have all been things that I’ve been working on long before the challenge started, and I will continue to work and re-evaluate my goals going forward.
Congrats, Jen!!! It’s amazing how in 10 weeks small things can change for the greater good. You’ve done well and I’m glad you’re going to keep at it.
Awesome changes Jen. Congrats :)
Great job! I enjoyed the challenge also, and will continue to incorporate my new goals and lifestyle going forward.
Congratulations on reaching the end of your ten weeks :) You made a lot of great healthy meals and I’m glad you have incorporated more healthy eating into your diet. I need to start eating healthier….
Congratulations, Jen! It’s great that you were able to improve on some of your target issues within the 10 weeks and are going to continue. Great work!
Good for you Jen – those are some wonderful changes to make.
