It’s time to recap another Kitchen Bootcamp challenge! This month, I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit and take on the World Cuisines chapter from The Professional Chef, our monthly textbook so to speak. I knew that some new flavors would help me get out of a bit of a cooking rut, and I’m hoping that others had the same experience, as well!
This month, I took on two new recipes. Since I struggle with incorporating Asian recipes and ingredients into my weekly menu, I decided to try my hand at some Korean Shredded Beef Tacos. I also made some Homemade Naan, lovely Indian flatbread.
I think that my favorite part of each challenge is seeing what everyone else comes up with… So, let’s get right to it, shall we?
The flavors in these Lamb and Sweet Onion Pitas with Orange-Cucumber Salad from Cupcake Muffin sound intriguing to me. I don’t normally cook with lamb, but it sounds like a dish I have to try. Plus, the orange-cucumber salad sounds very refreshing for warmer weather!
When I saw this recipe for Irish Oat Broth with Leeks from Healthy Green Kitchen, the first word that came to mind was “comfort.” I would just love to curl up with a bowl!
Before I saw this recipe for Paczki from Sugarcrafter, I was not familiar with these lovely Polish doughnuts. Now that I am, I know I’ll have to give them a try!
Enchiladas are one of my husband’s favorite foods. So, you know I’ll have to make these Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas from Bluebonnets and Brownies for him.
Great minds think alike… Except I think these Whole Wheat Naan and Grilled Tandoori Chicken Wraps from Good Life Eats look much better than my version. Next time that I make naan, I will absolutely be following this recipe for the chicken!
I am a big fan of making meals in my slow cooker… I use it all year long! So, I can’t wait to try these Mexican Pulled Pork Tacos from eat. live. travel. write. They are sure to be a new favorite around here!
Finally, you won’t want to miss this recipe for Pho Noodles with Beef from Downing Delectables. It looks like another recipe that I should try to broaden my repertoire of Asian dishes.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this month’s challenge! Stay tuned for next month’s announcement…
